A little about me

Curiosity is where
it begins.

Hi there, I’m Tariku Hassan, founder of Focus on Habesha.

Originally from Ethiopia and now based in Maryland, United States, I’m a curator, local explorer, and community connector.

My idea is simple: to create a welcoming place to discover opportunities, ask questions, share information, and connect our community and beyond.

Photography is a hobby I enjoy. Here, you’ll find some of the places and moments I discover along the way.

Beauty, a little closer.

You don’t always have to travel far to find something worth noticing. These are moments from the places I love exploring.

at Brookside.

Tree-lined paths, garden details, and a chance to pause. Brookside Gardens is a place I return to with my camera and a fresh sense of curiosity.
